As a child I used to indulge myself with weird entertainment such as: odd films, scary books with ghoulish creatures, spooky castles, murder stories, and haunted forests. I guess it’s kind of obvious from my previous posts I am still very much into the macabre world. I went through junior high binging the entire book collection of “Goose Bumps”. They were my favorite!
I have always enjoyed reading Stephen King books. Constantly sucked into nightmares which I could barley get over once I had finished a book. My first one was none other than “It”. SCARRRRY! I have to admit I could not handle the film. I have a thing with clowns as it is, and last thing I needed was yet another reassurance they are creepy (the scene from Poltergeist was enough).
I had an interesting conversation with a few friends about this brilliant author, and movies based on his spine-chilling literature. Some movies came as a surprise to me as I was told were adaptations of Mr. King’s books. I haven’t had the chance to watch all of them yet, but I am still young and have time.
