About me

Hey there and welcome to Moody Moppet.

My name is Reut and I don’t expect any of you to be able to pronounce my name right 😉

Other than a complex forename, I’m 37 years old, a forever lover of movies, arts & crafts, and reading. I’m a nostalgic person, to say the least, with a taste for 80’s and 90’s flicks, foreign films and French. Why French? It’s movies that got this started. Amélie (2001) was my first, and then a long list of French favorites formed itself and is now getting bigger and bigger. On the top of my French movies list now stands 8 femmes (2002) which you can read all about here. I’m also a Psychological Thrillers and Historical Dramas enthusiast and tend to read books related to those genres. I even had a book/movie comparison phase which surprisingly made me appreciate the filmed versions rather than the literary ones (odd!). But… there comes a time when writing about movies just doesn’t suffice and I need to slightly expand. For example, why get info stingy when I can share my vast curiosities, oddities, and hobbies with whoever’s interested in reading them (meaning, you)?

So, yeah. Moody Moppet’s officially open to loads of other topics besides motion pictures, Netflix and books. Perhaps an occasional uber-fattening delish recipe? A wandering thought? An idea? All goes for me. And please… if you feel you’ve had enough just give me a holler. I’m all-over-the-place, yet still a considerate person.

When I’m not blogging (which happens more often than I want to), I hang out here, sooooo feel free to pay me a visit.
