Film Club: Snowpiercer

Ahhh… another great month for Film Club, and this time we all watched Snowpiercer, reviewed it, loved it, hated it, or just considered it an OK film. This COOL choice was made by Damien from Flashback/Backslide, and I have to say this film really surprised me!! Check out what everybody thought of this futuristic motion picture!

For this months edition of Film Club, Damien from Flashback/Backslide had the dubious honour of picking this months film. With that, Damien has chosen one of our most unique films yet; Joon-ho Bong’s Snowpiercer. Snowpiercer is Bong’s first English language film and proved an interesting film for our members to tackle.

As ever, Damien’s reason’s for choosing this months film are listed below, followed by all our thoughts.

  1. I really liked it. I read the graphic novel a while back and though they differ, there was a realy cool visual element to this that I loved – particularly the dark scenes. And the aquarium!

    1. I didn’t even realise there’s a novel. Interesting…
Yes, the visual effects are awesome and really upgrade the film. The aquarium scene is brilliant indeed!!!

  2. I really liked this movie. I watch so many movies that an original story is really really appreciated. Also, the fight scene in the middle of the movie during the new year’s day was amazing and really entertained me.
